Basil is used for all vegetables. Especially well with salads and other dishes with tomato, cabbage, spinach, beans or peas. Basil is an excellent seasoning for soups, fish and poultry, pork chops, salads, cottage cheese, eggs, omelettes, salads, crab, green sauces and herb butter. Harmonizes with garlic and mixed with rosemary is a substitute for salt in salt-free diet. For food it is added at the end of their preparation.
